What About Anime started as a group of friends in Uganda who loved anime and couldn't
stop talking about it. What began as casual conversations became a podcast, then an event series, then a
full community spanning East Africa.
We host monthly Anime Nights, attend major events like Otamatsurui in
Nairobi and Digi Art Fest, and drop weekly content across YouTube, TikTok, and
Instagram. We're not just watching anime — we're building a culture around it, right here in
Uganda.
This is home base. Welcome to What About Anime.
Got an idea for an event? An anime we should screen? Something you want to see at Anime Night? Tell us. We're actually listening.
